2011 October 15th Cape Cod trip

This was the original invitation for this trip, slightly updated....
SATURDAY October 15, 2011
Outer Cape Cod, MA

Join us for an exploration of many of the best birding spots on the "Outer Cape".... a trip sponsored by HAS the Hartford Audubon Society in Connecticut.

STARTING POINT:  SATURDAY
Bring lunch and meet at 8:30am SATURDAY at our NEW starting location of Race Point Beach parking lot, in Provincetown.   NO NEED TO CHANGE YOUR HOTEL.
The full itinerary can be viewed at...  Trip Itinerary: Planned start & stopping locations

Depending on weather and possible rarities that week, we will focus on the coast, migrants, seabirds, pelagics, etc., working our way from Provincetown south to Chatham,  ending around 6pm.  You might want to stay in one of your favorite motels on Cape Cod (Friday and/or Saturday night), such as The Cove Motel in Orleans or the Sheraton in Eastham or any other lodging you prefer.

SUNDAY: OPTIONAL
Although not part of this HAS trip, on SUNDAY morning some of us will be taking the 9:45am public whale-watch boat trip from Provincetown harbor (http://www.whalewatch.com/), and you might want to consider that whale watching opportunity also (take precautions if the water is rough, wear warm clothing, and bring a hat&sunscreen in case the sun is strong)... there might also be some seabirds, hopefully.

Please let us know if you plan to join us on this trip, especially if you would like us to try to coordinate any car pooling for you, of if you plan to join-up with this trip later Saturday morning.
