Two Trips: Sept.22-23 and Oct.22

Our last organized pelagic trip of the 2018 year (Oct.7-8, 2018) got its target: 2 Great Skuas in mid-Gulf Of Maine

Itinerary for Saturday September 29, 2012

This is a ONE-day seabirding trip, on 9/29/2012... although some of you may want to arrive Friday or leave Sunday to enjoy this beautiful time of year on the Outer Cape. Our trip is a combination of land-based sea watches and "piggy-backing" on a whale watching boat trip.

AFTERNOON: MANY BRIEF SEA WATCHES:
200pm begins land-based sea watches, heading south, doing brief (20 minute) visits to as MANY different coastal locations as time permits, trying to find a place where a Sabine's Gull might be visiting. These gulls have shown up at many different parts of the Outer Cape, and we increase our chances by visiting many places. This may include another pass at Race Point Beach and/or Herring Cove, plus it will include stops at these beautiful locations...

We may also try for the recent 12)  ChuckWill'sWidow early or late, if it is still hanging around on 9/29. In mid-September it was calling, in Truro, near where Old County Road meets Old County Lane (around 41.972372,-70.069621).  <We found the spot but too much rain at that time.>
